Never Fail Quiche

2 1/3 c. Namaste Biscuits, Piecrust & More mix

½ c. oil, margarine, butter or shortening (or combination)

3-5 Tbs. water

1 c. (4 oz) shredded Italian-style cheese

1 c. cooked turkey or pork sausage, chopped ham or crumbled bacon

4 (4 oz) medium green onions, sliced

1 ½ c. half-and-half (may use ¾ cup milk and ¾ cup half-and-half)

3 eggs

1 tsp. fresh tarragon leaves, chopped


Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray 9 inch pie plate with non-stick spray. Follow pie crust directions on bag for crust. Sprinkle cheese, sausage and onions over crust. Beat half-and-half and eggs with wire whisk until blended; stir in tarragon. Pour into crust. Bake 30 to 35 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.

*Variations: You can substitute sautéed mushrooms, steamed broccoli, caramelized onions or blanched spinach (with all water pressed out) in place of green onions.

*Vegetarian version: Omit meat and add up to 1 c. total of veggie options listed above.
