borderline high cholesterol
posted by walic777@ctvea.net 4 years ago

I just found out I am allergic to corn, soy, cottonseed, sesame seed, & gluten intolerant. My hands and insides felt swollen, so my question, Could the allergy cause my cholesterol to be higher? My diet had none of the fatty foods in it, so I am hoping with the elimiation of gluten, my cholesterol will go down. It was 235. Anyone else have this problem?

I have been on a self diagnosed from symptoms, gluten free diet for 10 months now.I started on this diet by referral from my younger sister being diagnosed by a doctor. I too have gained weight and just had my well woman check up and have been told my cholesterol is higher than it was a year ago.So more research is in order I think.
