Cheesy Taco Rice

1 cup Mahatma® White Rice
1 jar (6 oz.) gluten free cheese and salsa
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 cup water
1 (1.25 oz.) package gluten free, dry taco seasoning mix
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 cup tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup jalapeño pepper, sliced
1/2 cup American cheese, shredded
Prepare rice according to package directions. Fold in cheese and salsa. Divide equally into 4 serving bowls. In a large skillet, brown ground beef. Add water, taco seasoning, and garlic powder. Simmer 15 minutes. Divide into four equal portions and serve over rice. Top each bowl with tomatoes, jalapeños and cheese. (Yield: 4 servings)
