Vacation to Florida
posted by supertek_73 2 months ago

I'm taking my family to Florida in the spring of 2009. I'm trying to plan out our trip meals as my daughter is Celiac. Any suggestions? Staying in kissimmee.

Hi. I find using toaster bags to be a huge help in traveling. Most restaurants will prepare toast, bagels etc in their toaster if you place them in the reusable bags. Just remember to ask for them back and wash them out before reusing. We just got back from Florida and I remember seeing a few good restaurants in the Triumph Dining Book; Bonefish Grill, Carabba's, First Watch(great for breakfast), Outback, PF Changs, Uno Chicago Grill and Seasons 52. Have a great trip!

I was searching online for restaurants that serve Gluten Free Meals. You should check out Chili's, PF Changs, UNO Chicago Grill, and perhaps check up on some local places that might have some gluten free menus as well. I am also going on a vacation this summer in NJ Shore, so I am starting my research now also. Any information is helpful also.

I am interested to find out if you have discovered any restaurants or health food stores near Kissimmee/Orlando as I am also vacationing there (later this month.) I saw the response from Colleen and will try to go to some of the places she suggested. Will let you know if I find anything new also.
