Spice-Rubbed Pork Tenderloin with Barbecue Sauce

posted by 4 years ago

1 Tbs. granulated sugar

1 Tbs. chili powder

Coarse salt, as desired

1/4 tsp. mustard powder

1/4 tsp. dried thyme

2 (1-lb.) pork tenderloins

Grill Side Barbeque Sauce-Suburban Sweet

In a small bowl, combine the sugar, chili powder, salt, mustard powder, and thyme. Rub the mixture on the tenderloins, coating all sides. Shake off any loose spices. Place the meat in a baking dish. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours. Preheat the grill to high. Set the meat on a hot grill, searing it on all sides; about a minute per side. Move the meat and continue cooking over indirect flame with the grill covered. Cook meat about 20-30 minutes or until a thermometer inserted into the center of each tenderloin registers 160°F. Remove the meat from the grill. Cover with aluminum foil and let stand for 10 minutes. Slice and serve with the sauce on the side. (Serves: 6)
