Beef and Vegetables with Rice

8 oz. sirloin steak, cut into 1/2 inch strips

2 Tbs. vegetable oil

3 green onions, chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp. fresh ginger root, chopped

1 red bell pepper, chopped

1 yellow bell pepper, chopped

1 can water chestnuts, drained

1 carrot, chopped

16 oz. beef broth

2 Tbs. cornstarch

1 tsp. granulated sugar, optional

1/4 c. KIKKOMAN Gluten-free Soy Sauce

1 Tbs. Wok Mei Oyster Sauce

Coarse salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste

Prepare rice according to package directions. In a large skillet over medium high heat, sauté the beef slices in the oil for 5 minutes, or until well browned. Add the onion, garlic and ginger and sauté for 5 more minutes. Add the bell pepper, carrot, water chestnuts and beef broth. Reduce heat to low; simmer. Meanwhile, in a separate small bowl, combine the corn starch, sugar, soy sauce and oyster sauce, if desired. Stir thoroughly, forming a smooth paste. Slowly add to the simmering beef and vegetables, stirring well, and let simmer to desired thickness. Season with salt and pepper to taste. (Serves: 4)
