Breaking out!
posted by hmjohnson716 8 months ago

Hi, for many of years now ive been thinking the culprit to my horrible skin is GLUTEN! I recently broke out all over my forehead pretty bad..almost cystic like Acne. I read that the forehead is linked to digestion and it means I could have an intolerance to gluten or wheat. Has anyone else ever experienced bad skin from the Gluten allergy?

My children have had that problem for two years and we couldn't figure out what it was. After alot of late nights researching their ailments And trying to eliminate different foods figured out it was the sugar and the wheat that was causing the break outs. We had black mold in our home and they were on a lot of antibiotics and we were not told that they had to take a probiotic along with it. So they developed Candida and when you eat sugar and wheat it causes the yeast to reproduce and causes the acne. Once they stopped the wheat and the sugar and took a probiotic daily, the acne you went away within days. Now I'm on the search for a good candida cleanser that will take that away for good. I hope this information helps you! Good luck

YES! I developed adult acne about 3 years ago. I couldnt figure out what was going on. Last year I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. This year I had symptoms come up that were excruciatingly painful. My acne got so bad that it was exactly as you described only on my chin and jaw line. The acne was very painful as well almost like cysts that turned to cold sores. I saw a DR OZ show a feww weeks ago about gluten. Cut it from my diet and all my symptoms were gone in a week never to return! Save yourself.

Yes, and it was diagnosed as Dermatitis herpetiformis. A rare skin condition caused by gluten. You should consult a Dermatologist and ask to be tested for it. I suffered for a long time with it due to wrong diagnosis and no relief. I finally went to Johns Hopkins Hospital where they correctly diagnosed it. There are other implications as well and why it is important you should determine if that is your skin problem.
