Noodles Jambalaya

1 pkg. Namaste Taco Pasta

½ lb. hot bulk sausage, crumbled

1 green pepper, chopped

1 red pepper, chopped

1 medium onion, chopped

2 stalks celery, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (14 ½ oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained

1 (6 oz) can tomato paste

2 cups beef broth

6 whole chicken thighs or boneless, skinless – cut up into bite size pieces

½ tsp. cayenne (red) pepper less or more to taste

½ tsp. salt

1 lb. shrimp, shelled and deveined


Cook pasta as directed. Rinse and set aside. Place chicken and sausage on bottom of 2 quart crock pot or large, deep skillet. Add all ingredients including Taco Pasta seasoning packet except shrimp and noodles. Cook on low for 4 hours. Add shrimp for the last 15 to 30 minutes. Fold in noodles and serve. Turn off heat right away when done cooking so noodles won’t begin to disintegrate. (Serves: 6-8)

*Variations: For a less spicy version you can substitute Namaste’sPasta Pisavera in place of the Taco Pasta and use milder or sweet Italian sausage.
