Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients


2 Tbs cornstarch


2 Tbs cold water


¼ cup white sugar


½ cup brown sugar


¾ cup KIKKOMAN Gluten-free Soy Sauce


½ cup apple cider vinegar


2 clove garlic, minced


½ tsp ground ginger


¼ tsp ground black pepper


12 skinless chicken thighs


Directions



In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the cornstarch, cold water, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and ground black pepper. Let simmer, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens and bubbles. Preheat oven to 425° F. Place chicken pieces in a lightly greased or foil lined 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour ¾ of the sauce over chicken. Cooked, covered with foil for 30 minutes, remove foil, pour remainder of sauce over and bake another 20-30 minutes or until no longer pink and juices run clear. (Serves: 6)
