posted by regnisaw@yahoo.com 8 years ago

Ingredients

1 medium head broccoli, cut into small florets

2 cloves garlic, halved

1 Tbs. canola oil

Coarse salt and ground pepper

2 sirloin steaks (about 5 oz and ½ inch thick)

¼ tsp. ground cumin

½ c. Spikes' Salsa

Directions

Preheat oven to 450°F. On a rimmed baking sheet, toss together broccoli, garlic, and 2 tsp. oil; season with salt and pepper. Roast until tender and slightly charred, 10 to 12 minutes, tossing halfway through. Five minutes before broccoli has finished cooking, rub steak with cumin; season with salt and pepper. In a small skillet, heat remaining oil over high. Add steak, and cook 1 to 2 minutes per side for medium-rare. Tope steak with salsa, and serve with broccoli alongside. (Serves: 2)
